Language and innovation initiatives for cross-cultural dialogue and sustainable development.
Through interactive creative media/English classes students from elementary school to adult age groups learn English through situational activities targeting the language they need through an interactive/communicative based methodology, producing personal audiovisual dictionaries, stories, documentaries, stop-motion, murals (which can be used as future learning materials – product) while simultaneously enabling vital storytelling, data collection regarding their social and environmental reality and the challenges, needs and dreams they have.
Thus this form of “Action Communication” meets the needs of the local communities, empowering them, while, at the same time, collecting vital data from the people themselves and providing records of it for use by external agencies/organisations.
It is an example of two way knowledge sharing and learning. The heart of it is creative, playful, effective teaching, learning and knowledge sharing that enables impact.
